The Furuvik Zoo in Sweden reported that a chimpanzee by the name of Santino was able to sort of plan the future. They found out that he collected stones and then threw them later at zoo visitors.
I am not really surprised. I remember years ago, after we had watched the movie “Planet of the Apes” for the first time, my friends and i had a debate until late in the night, about intelligence by so called “animals” (i hate this term!) in general, and by chimpanzees in particular.
For me it was clear, and still is, that they are far more intelligent than we imagine.
I wonder if chimpanzees have a concept of god, like humans do.
